What we work on
Buy with information, not just relationships.
Supplier relationships matter, and so does knowing what you are agreeing to. We help venues compare options like for like, understand terms, set sensible reorder levels and keep cash from sitting on the shelf.
The problem this addresses
Many venues buy wine the way they always have: from the representative who visits, at the price quoted, in the quantity that feels right. That works until cash is tied up in slow stock, one supplier shapes the entire list, or a price rise goes unnoticed.
Better buying starts with better information: what sells, how fast, at what cost, from whom, and on what terms. With that in hand the decisions become much easier.
Signs buying needs a second look
- One supplier accounts for most of your wine purchases.
- You are unsure of the delivery, minimum order and payment terms you are on.
- Fast sellers run out while slow sellers pile up.
- Orders are placed from memory rather than from reorder levels.
- You cannot easily compare what two suppliers offer for a similar wine.
- A supplier's feature wine ends up on the list because it was offered.
Questions we help answer
- How concentrated is our buying, and does that matter?
- What are we agreeing to in terms and minimums?
- Which wines need a reorder level, and what should it be?
- How much money is sitting in wine that is not moving?
- How should we approach an opening order?
What we look at
- Supplier concentration and the spread of your buying.
- Delivery, minimum order and payment terms.
- Like-for-like comparison across suppliers.
- Stock holding, slow movers and reorder levels.
- How supplier offers influence the list.

Common questions
Do you negotiate with suppliers for us?
Supplier negotiation is not part of a Snapshot. It can be discussed as part of a custom project or ongoing support, scoped in writing.
Will you tell us to change suppliers?
Only if it serves the venue. Often the useful outcome is clearer terms and a better-informed conversation with the supplier you already use.
How do we start?
A Beverage Profit Snapshot will flag supplier concentration and stock risk signals. From there we can talk about what deeper work, if any, makes sense.
